About Chakras: Chakras (pronounced "Shock-rah") are 7 energy centers located along the median line of the human body. They are often portrayed as lotuses, and each conveys a multi-tiered symbolic hierarchy. The chakras, a vital part of India's ayurvedic tradition, are analogous to the Chinese concept of chi, and like chi, their physical existence is hotly debated in scientific circles. Their metaphysical existence has long been harnessed by ayurvedic practitioners, who treat physical, psychological, and spiritual maladies with medicines and meditations designed to keep the chakras in balance. These Vedic Doctors practice holistic medicine - balancing the physical, mental and spiritual elements to achieve health in all aspects of life. Nutrition and exercise, meditation, mindfulness, activity and rest; equilibrium must be maintained. Each chakra occupies its' own physical part of the body, has its' own color, planetary and other symbolic resources. Together, they represent an integrated person, in all physical, emotional, and spiritual attributes, as well as the journey of the human soul towards completion. |
About Chakra Oil: Chakra Oils are formulated to balance chakra energies along the body's median chakra centers. They are recommended on an individual basis after a client consultation. The following Essences are the ones traditionally prescribed for chakra imbalances. |
